ANN OTIS

I have been asked again and again to define the type of imagery I use and it isn’t easy to find a category in which to slip my work. Recently my pieces are reminiscent of dreams and symbols that tell a personal story, yours or mine. Each person interacts with the word according to his or her own experience and vision. My work is playful with an underlying seriousness.

I have received a number of awards. My piece in the Brio “Go Figure” show won Best of Show and I was awarded First Place in the Cave Creek Film and Fine Arts Festival. My monotype “Smokin’ Hot” won the cover of the Sonoran Arts League’s “Hidden in the Hills Directory.”
