MARY LOU WILLS
Art is my way of expressing how I see the world around me and printmaking serves as my primary artistic medium. I interpret, through images, what I see and feel as I connect or reconnect with the natural world. Many of my works represent birds, trees and other wildlife. These are representations of what I experience and are influenced by memories gathered throughout my lifetime, beginning in childhood. I am driven to express that which I find beautiful, poignant, nurturing or reflective in nature through my artwork.
The creative process is my means of releasing what is within me that cannot be shared otherwise. And, so, my visual interpretation expresses something inside me which I am incapable of saying in words.
