SUSAN L. RITTER

Art is more than a pretty picture. Art speaks to the soul and the heart, the creativity being an expression of the artist’s consciousness and spirituality. Sitting on an old log next to a fish-laden stream speaks to the artist. Watching and hearing a hawk or owl overhead, supervising a plodding snail slowly climbing up a stick, and thinking of brave and special people touch the artist’s inner being. These experiences filter through the artist’s soul and transfer to a creative work that can be enjoyed by others. My efforts seek to ignore that pretty picture but strive to touch my inner core.
